No, most of the river guides are located throughout the Northeastern and Southeastern part of the United States, with one in Mexico. When you contact your river guide for a lesson, he or she will give you their location in case you’d prefer to have an in person lesson.
No, whereas our focus is to teach students at a very high level using a college prep curriculum, some river guide instructors do offer a basic traditional lesson program (we call journeyman) for the talented but less experienced player of most any age.
No, you can schedule a lesson with your river guide whenever you need or want to. You are not obligated to schedule a weekly time and day the way you would with a traditional music studio. All lesson scheduling is worked out between you and your river guide, it’s that simple.
Because each river guide sets his or her own lesson fees there is no set uniform pricing. The basic cost can vary from $55 to $125 per lesson depending on your river guide and length of lesson. Some river guides offer both 60 minute and 45-minute lesson options, which the pricing is therefore adjusted accordingly. When you inquirer about a lesson all the pricing is given to you upfront which makes it easy and clear.
